      Lasers can actually be pretty much any colour you can think of – there are even lasers which emit light that we can’t see, in the ultraviolet or infra red. Laser pointers that you might see in the classroom are commonly red, as red lasers are pretty cheap to make. However with newer ‘diode’ lasers, other colours such as green and blue are becoming cheaper and more common.
