      Hi again vintageflower22!

Your body does use hydrogen – in fact, almost two in every three atoms in your body is a hydrogen atom. Because hydrogen is really light, though, it only makes up about 10% of your body weight.

When hydrogen is on it’s own, it forms a gas, with lots of molecules of two hydrogen atoms stuck together. But that’s quite reactive, so the hydrogen in your body is normally pert of other chemicals, like water, proteins and sugars. Really, we wouldn’t be able to live without the hydrogen in our bodies 🙂
