Ah, looks like someone read my profile XD.

Well, I can be very stubborn. For example, if I have a science problem I want to crack, I get angry if I can’t solve it and keep on thinking about it even when I leave work. Then I stay silent and keep on thinking on my own trying to find a solution, and almost don’t speak back to anyone. I tend to take this kind of things a bit too personally, I guess.

I am also stubborn when I think I’m right about something. It does not mean I won’t recognize I’m wrong if you can prove it – but I won’t give up my ideas otherwise. For example, I’ve been butting heads with the professor who supervised me very often when I did my PhD, every time we had different opinions. I think we both enjoyed it though – he was stubborn and had fun with science as well, and sometimes discussing and even fighting about things is the best way to get good ideas!

I try not to be too stubborn with my friends or family though. I don’t want to fight over silly things with them just because I can’t let go my opinion on something, especially if that something isn’t anything really important, or is something I could very well be wrong about. Inside me, deep down, there is still a voice wanting to raise all hell before surrendering XD, but I’ve learned that it’s not always the best to listen to that.
