• Question: what chemicals are the strongest that you use to blast with lasers?

      I think I might have explained this badly before – we’re not testing the ‘strength’ of the chemicals with the laser (they’re pretty weak in terms of their physical strength!), we’re testing the way that light interacts with them. We use lasers because they give out really intense light of a very specific colour, so we can see what happens when you hit the chemical with light of different colours.
