      Thanks for the question, karinaa! As far as hydrogen here on Earth goes, there’s quite a lot of it, if you think about how all the water in all the ocean is made up of H2O, so there are two hydrogen atoms in every molecule of water.

      The idea with running a car on hydrogen is that you get the hydrogen from water, and then when you use the hydrogen in the car it gets turned back into water. So you shouldn’t actually lose any hydrogen! That’s one of the reasons we call it a sustainable fuel.

      You might have already known that hydrogen is the fuel that the Sun uses to provide all the heat and light we need to live. Sadly, that hydrogen is being used up, about 5000000000 kilograms per second!!! That means that eventually the Sun will run out of hydrogen fuel, but luckily for us thsat won’t be for a few billion years, so we’ll be long gone!!
