      Good questions!

We ‘poo’ to get rid of waste products in our food that the body either doesn’t need or can’t digest – things like plant fibre or stringy connective tissue in meat.

We need oxygen from the air to live. We get that oxygen by breathing – this takes air into our lungs where the oxygen is absorbed into the body, and we breathe out waste gas that we don’t need, such as carbon dioxide.

If you cut yourself, you bleed because you cut through the blood vessels (little tubes that transport blood around your body) which causes the blood to escape from the body.

      Hope that answers your question!
