• Question: will the sun eventually die

      Yup, sadly it is true! However, we have a long time before it’s likely to happen. The Sun is expected to last another 5 billion years or so, so it’s not something we need to worry about yet! If we’re still around by then, it’s likely that we’ll be so technologically advanced that this won’t be a problem!

      It’s estimated to survive another 5 billionish years but as the Sun dies it will expand and it is believed that it will expand out as far as Venus (our next nearest , inside, neighbouring planet). It wil lthen gradually lose layer which go on to form nebulae until only a white dwarf is left.
