      Good question! Yes, albinoism is an genetic trait, however it’s a pretty rare one (about 1 in 20,000 people have it). It require both parents to carry the gene for it, and because the gene that causes it is known as a ‘recessive’ gene (which are much less likely to affect development that ‘dominant’ genes) it only becomes a problem when it’s inherited from both parents.
