Hi partickbreedingxo! Thanks for the question, I’m glad this is something you’re thinking about.

There are lots of ways you can reduce your carbon footprint. I’ll mention some of the easiest ones. One of the biggest contributers to our carbon footprint is heating and air conditioning. So, in winter, try turning the heating to a slightly lower temperature – every degree makes a difference (up to 10% of the heating, it’s much more energy efficient to put a jumper on than to crank up the heating.

The other major contributor is the way we travel. So, walking or cycling is the best way to travel when you’re able to, or taking the bus or train instead of driving.

There are other little things you can do that all add up. Turning off lights and things that are on standby (like computer screens), or getting more energy efficient lights and appliances. If you’re really enthusiastic, getting solar panels for your house is a great way to make sure your electricity is from an environmentally friendly source.

There are load of extra tips on the web, here’s a site that goes through each room of the house and how you can save energy.

Hope this helps, thanks again for the question 🙂
